The Latin word redimere means to buy back or repurchase which signifies ownership by the #redeemer. The Bible speaks of redemption throughout the Old and New Testament which is not through a #coupon at a local store, but through the #blood of Jesus Christ on the cross. How can that be? He paid the price for our sins and repurchased us. “IN CHRIST WE HAVE REDEMPTION THROUGH HIS BLOOD, THE FORGIVENESS OF OUR TRESPASSES, ACCORDING TO THE RICHES OF HIS GRACE” Eph 1:7 “Jesus gave himself for our sins, that He might deliver us out of this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father.” Gal.1:4 “The LORD REDEEMS THE SOUL OF HIS SERVANTS and none of them that trust in Him shall be condemned” Ps.34;22 “Into God’s hand I commit my spirit, Thou has REDEEMED ME, O LORD GOD OF TRUTH” Ps.31:5 Years ago we had coupon/stamp redemption centers where you went to claim your purchase with stamps. They no longer exist, but I pray you will claim your saving redemption in Jesus Christ today. “Looking for that blessed hope, and glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ who gave Himself for us that HE MIGHT REDEEM US from all iniquity, and purify us unto Himself” Titus2:13,14 “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God having been justified freely by HIS GRACE THROUGH THE REDEMPTION THAT IS IN CHRIST JESUS” Rom.3:23,24 The LIVING GOD IS AN ETERNAL REDEEMER.
