We know from last week that #Jesus Christ is the only way to reconcile our #relationship with #God.  Let’s look at Salvation from God’s point of view.  Who came up with the plan?  Who suffered more by following the plan?  Who did all the fighting and the winning?  How important is our response?  What does it mean to repent and believe?  How are they linked?

The Joy of Jesus – Triumphant Serving – As Experienced – Obediently

#Trust and #obey for there’s no other way to be #happy in #Jesus.  That’s a line from an old hymn we used to sing all the time.  These days, we are being asked to obey a lot of sources, sometimes conflicting.  If you are in sync with God’s law , you will not be in conflict with man’s law except when those man made laws are immoral.  But, what does the Bible say about obedience?  Should we obey out of fear or love?  Which of these has a more consistent outcome?  Can it be both?  What does Paul mean when he tells the Philippians to ‘work out’ their salvation with fear and trembling?  Hint:  think miner.  Also, fear of what?

THE LIVING GOD IS TRUE

from Barbara's Bible

Have you ever taken a #test in which you #answer with one word either #true or #false? Living day to day we have so many #questions to answer with multiple choices; however, after much contemplation most come down to a true/false conclusion. Complex yet simple statements such as… Do you love me? Did you lie? We can rationalize over many of the answers or choices we make in our lifetime. Some of our answers affect us that day while others are life changing. There is one answer that has eternal consequences! You choose ….True …or ,,,,False. “We know that the Son of God is come, and has given us an understanding that we may know Him that is true even in His Son Jesus Christ. THIS IS THE TRUE GOD AND ETERNAL LIFE” 1John 5:20 What is your answer? Will it be true or false?

The Person Who Pities

Last week, we learned why we should always give #thanks.  This week, we will learn what happens when we ignore this advice and start down a path of #self #pity.  We tend to think of biblical heroes as perfect, infallible, or at the very least happy and enthused.  But, are they?  Elijah was a great man, a prophet, one whom God loved and still he found himself dejected under a juniper tree.  What toll does it take to serve the Lord and bring truth to people?  Is a Christian life going to be easy and bring popularity?  What happens when we lose focus on the important things?  Does God speak to us in the chaos of current events?  Who do you trust and who do you fear?  Is it possible that there could be more going on than we can see right now?

The LIVING GOD #LORD

https://youtu.be/_S-KvvTkuOc://

Are you thinking that you are the #lord of your #life?  I see a #society that feels they are the #masters of their own #souls; thereby telling others who and what they have chosen to become, because they are their own lord.  Ps.37:5 gives us good advice “Commit your way to the LORD.” Webster defines LORD as one who has power, authority, headship, and is master, ruler, keeper, guard, the Supreme Being; JEHOVAH,  The Saviour, JESUS CHRIST.  “Know today, and take it to your heart, that the LORD, HE IS GOD IN HEAVEN ABOVE AND ON THE EARTH BELOW; THERE IS NO OTHER.” Deut. 4:39  There are over 300 texts in the Bible ascribed to GOD AS LORD.  Have you acknowledged The LORD as LORD, or have you become your own lord?  Ps. 37 says, Do not fret because of evildoers –Trust in the LORD, –Wait on the LORD, –Rest in the LORD..  “Shall a man make gods unto himself, and they are no gods?  ..I will cause them to know my hand and my might; and they shall know that MY NAME IS  THE LORD.”  Jer.16:20,21  I pray you are making Him LORD over your life now!

The LIVING GOD #PERFORMS

#Violence, #Barbarism, #Massacres, and all manner of #Carnage are happening right now as displayed on the internet and TV.  While #Evil is thrust before our eyes to make us #fearful, Ps.56:11 “In #GOD will I put my trust; I will not be afraid what man can do unto me…13God has delivered my soul from death:  will He not deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?”  Recently, I was told that a Sunday School teacher was telling others to not admit you’re a Christ follower for you could be a target.  I pray we will follow God’s word rather than the fear mongers.  Ps.56:3 “What time I am afraid, I will trust in God…I will praise His word…I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.”  Ps.57 “Be merciful unto me, O God, for my soul trusts in Thee; in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.  I will cry unto God most high; GOD WHO PERFORMS ALL THINGS FOR ME.  He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up.  GOD shall send forth His Mercy and Truth.”
