Do you enter every #sweepstake hoping to win the #prize #rewards of #money/new#car/beautiful #house/#vacation in #paradise? I get mail promotions with a special key which could win the car of my dreams if it unlocks the car door, but I would have to go in person to the dealership to find out! We all make choices constantly; some profitably – some “forgetable” ! At my age, I realize more and more how our choices affect our rewards. We can sit an dream about our dream, but never take the first step to make it a reality. God gave us the key to the kingdom of God in His Son, Jesus Christ, but have you gone to Him in person? Peter answered Jesus in Matt.16 when Jesus asked him , “whom say you that I am?” –(Peter) Thou are the Christ, the Son of the living God..…(JESUS)I will give unto you the keys of the kingdom of heaven” Will you choose the only key that opens the heavenly gates of eternity with God? “Without FAITH it is impossible to please Him; for ‘the one’ that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a REWARDER of them that diligently seek Him.“Heb. 11:6 “the just shall live by his faith.” Hab.2:4 What choices are you making today? “What are you entering into and now (will) you turn to God from idols to serve the living and true God; and wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus, who delivered us from the wrath to come.” 1 Thess.1:10

The LIVING GOD #DELIGHTS

With #Valentines coming in just a few days, we all think on things that delight us. What is your delight? As a child in school you probably wanted to get many valentine cards from your friends showing their love for you. Then with maturity you wanted a special someone to bring chocolates in a red heart box; or maybe you wanted roses; or maybe a ring; or maybe all of those. When someone cares for another, he or she delights in giving and receiving spoken heart felt appreciation. Do you think God Delights in You? What does the Bible record in Ps.18 “Lord delivered me from my strong enemy and from those who hated me….He rescued me, because HE DELIGHTED IN ME. The LORD HAS REWARDED ME according to my righteousness…for I have kept the ways of the LORD.” Ps.1 “Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked….but HIS DELIGHT is in the law of the LORD.” Eccles.5:4 “When you make a vow to GOD, do not be late with paying it for HE TAKES NO DELIGHT IN FOOLS” There are so many “modern day” theories on love and the delights of the day; however, our God is everlasting and His law and word were given to us for our good. How can we delight our heavenly Father? Micah 7:18 “GOD DELIGHTS IN UNCHANGING LOVE.”

Once you have accepted the free gift of #Salvation, what else is there to look forward to? What are some other motivations to finish the #race well? Works or being good has no bearing on our being saved from an eternity without God, but works with the right motive definitely determine rewards in the afterlife. How will the Lord separate good deeds from deeds done for the wrong reason? How many crowns are available to a Christian? Will everyone get all of them or even one? Who will win the incorruptible crown? How about the crown of glory, righteousness, life, and/or the crown of rejoicing?
