It is #vacation time again. Will you be #hiking, #driving, or maybe #flying? Which road will you take to get there? The Bible has a lot to say about our journey through this life. It says there are two distinct paths. One is wide and winding and the other is straight but narrow. Are people aware of which path they are traveling? Are you aware? Let’s say you are on the right path, are you aware that there are different ways to travel this road? In this passage, Paul is warning the Corinthians about carnal Christianity. They are saved but not growing and not living up to their potential. How can we move up in our Christian walk away from carnality toward Christ mindedness?

Does your #life seem like a dark maze? #Jesus Christ promised to light your #path. Are we living in the last days? Will this world get even darker? The Bible says that men will call evil good and good evil. Have we seen that lately? But, as we mentioned last week the light penetrates and overcomes the dark. Jesus did not claim to be a light, rather He said that He was the light. How did this equate to Him staking His claim to be the Messiah? Maybe you recognize that Christ is the light of the World. Is that enough? What does it mean to follow the light? Like the moon reflects the Sun to light the night, we are to reflect the Son to light a dark world.

Is it important for us to know God’s will? Have you ever wondered #why you are here or if there is a #purpose to your life? If you want to know why you were created, why not ask the Creator? God promises success if we follow His plan for our life. But, who defines what success looks like? Does God lay out His plans for us all at once? Is there any risk involved in turning control over to God? What is our role in finding out God’s will? When is the right time to start following it? What must happen first? What are the next steps for finding the will of God? Will the will of God ever contradict the Word of God? Do our feelings or common sense ever play a part in finding God’s will? How about the advice of other Christ followers? What part does peace play in this process?

Are you #driving yourself #faster and faster, yet always #behind? In our fast-paced #society, are you on a purposeful path or just trying to get to the next quick fix? A champion runner, Oswald Chambers said, “Never run before God gives you His direction” First we have to ASK GOD as in Ps.143:8 “Show me the way to go, for to you I entrust my life“ No one likes to ask for directions when traveling, but all of us need instruction on long uncharted paths. “I know, O LORD, that a man’s way is not in himself; nor is it in a man who walks to direct his steps. Correct me LORD” Jer.10:23 “The mind of man plans his way, but the LORD DIRECTS his steps“ Prov. 16:9 “Now may our God and Father Himself and Jesus our Lord DIRECT OUR WAY to you and may the Lord cause you to increase and abound in love for one another, and for all men, just as we also do for you; so that He may establish your hearts unblamable in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all His saints” 1 Thess.3:11-13 Drive safely on your life’s journey following true Heavenly Directions to that great meeting!
