If trusting in #Jesus #Christ as your #Lord and #Savior only bestowed #eternal life on the #Believer that would be more than enough to make it worth our decision. But God did not stop there. He has bestowed every one of the Faithful with one nor more spiritual gifts. Are spiritual gifts the same as spiritual fruit? What are these gifts and can anybody have more than one? Only the Holy Spirit enables a person to say that Jesus is Lord. What will the true Christian never say? What role do each of the three figures of the Godhead play in the function of these gifts? For what purpose are we given these gifts? Later Paul will give a full list of the spiritual gifts, but here he lists the ones the Corinthians were struggling to handle. Why are some gifts less evident today? The gifts Paul covers in this passage are wisdom, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discernment, and the speaking and interpretation of tongues.

Now before you say that preachers are always asking for #money, remember this site is not asking for anything. But, #God wants more than your money. To follow Jesus properly is to give your life to God. That means everything including time, skills, and more. Does that mean you have to quit your job and go work at your church? Most of the time, no. God wants us out there serving throughout the community. Is there anything God has asked of you that you did not want to give? Can He get it done without you? Who pays a price when that happens? You’re not hurting God. What can we learn from Paul’s writings about Epaphroditus about giving, suffering, and healing?

I hope everybody had a great #Father’sDay. This message gives new meaning to the term #BigOil. Back in biblical times oil was already being used for energy. heating, cooking, and light. How does the Holy Spirit light up the life of Christians? Why is it important to have enough oil? What was used by the people of Israel to anoint a priest? What did this precious liquid have to do with healing sickness?
