Christ Is The Answer – Marriage Has Its Pattern

#Marriage, #celibacy, #divorce, and #equality – what does the #Bible say about these subjects?  Buckle up for a two parter.  Is there a difference between Paul quoting scripture and Paul expressing what he has learned?  What was the experience of the people of Corinth with polygamy and divorce?  Paul is answering questions that the Corinthian church had posed.  How many questions must they have had for Paul to devote a whole chapter to marriage?  When should they marry?  Paul says marriage is designed to be one man to one woman period.  What are the responsibilities of each partner in marriage?  Is it 50/50?  What are the rewards?  What is wrong with the reasoning that ‘God wants me to divorce my spouse?’  Was there any exception to this?

Christ Is The Answer – The Believer’s Body

#MyBodyMyChoice is a much quoted phrase right now.  Is that true according to the #Bible for #Christians?  The Corinthians were surrounded by a culture that said sexual immorality was of no consequence.  Sound familiar?  What does Christian liberty mean?  Are there any limits and what are they?  Should we consider the effect on others?  Will certain actions turn into deadly habits?  Why does Paul bring food into this discussion?   Everything was created for God’s glory including our bodies.  If we are grafted into the body of Christ as Believers, what happens when we give in to sexual immorality?  Many are horrified when a church is defiled but where does Paul say the temple of God is?  How can we avoid sexual sin?  Paul ends on a positive note exhorting us to use our bodies to glorify God.

We are grieving for the loss of a mother, sister, and a daughter who was also a cofounder of this site, Jeanetta Jones Daniel.  But, we know by her love that she was a Believer in Jesus Christ and that she is in a much better place with the Lord now.

Christ Is The Answer – The Case of Christian Versus Christian

Do Christians have any #business going to #court?  How are Believers supposed to deal with #fraud and other #wrong doings from a fellow Christ follower?  Did you know that we will one day be judges with Christ over the world and even over the angels?  What does it do to your testimony when you take a complaint with a brother before the unjust?  Paul writes that even the least esteemed believer should be a better judge than an unbeliever.  Are there biblically prescribed steps to take in a dispute with a brother?  What’s love got to do with it?  Are our rights more important than our testimony?  How do our forgiven prior wrongs preclude us from taking action against fellow church members?

Christ Is The Answer – Paying The Price For A Pure Church

Bible Audio Blog
20000827 Christ Is The Answer - Paying The Price For A Full Church - Rev. Tommy Jones

Are you #shocked at the current state of in-person attendance in the #church?  The Bible says that as we get closer to the #EndTimes there will be a falling away.  That doesn’t mean we should stop growing the church.  But is there a proper way to do that?  What is church discipline?  Of course, all are welcome to come to church and hear about the sacrificial Salvation of God.  However, the Bible has something to say about immorality among the members.  What is wrong with a church tolerating sin?  What if that church celebrates their tolerance?  Have you seen church discipline in action?  It is rare if non-existent.  Could this be why the World hurls the insult of hypocrisy at the weakened Church?  What does Paul mean when he says to turn the sinner over to the destruction of the flesh?  Is that some Old Testament Leviticus style justice?  Is the ultimate goal of church discipline a pure church or a restored Believer?  Why not both?  Paul reiterates the message of Jesus that the Faithful are to judge ourselves and our church not the unbelievers.
