Is there a pivotal moment in #Jesus Christ’s life that is make or break for #Christians?  Is it His birth that fulfilled all the #prophecies of the Old Testament?  Was it the first miracle of His ministry when Jesus turned water into wine?  Could it have been His many healings or when He fed the 5000?  How about when He died on the cross for our sins?  All of these might have disappeared into history had Christ not risen from the dead.  It is the key to a living faith.  Without the resurrection, what kind of faith would we have?  How could we have joy or hope?  What is the significance of the first fruits?  What does the resurrection mean for Believers?

What is a #SpiritualGift?  When a person becomes a follower of #Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit enters that person and amplifies or bestows a talent for the Believer to use to glorify God.  All gifts have a purpose but are they all equal?  The church at Corinth had become fascinated with one particular gift and in this passage Paul had to help them restore the balance.  Why is the gift of prophecy better than the gift of speaking in tongues?  Is prophecy only about the future?  How does prophecy build up the Church and evangelize the lost?  Paul gave serious warnings about the gift of speaking in tongues and when it should not be used.  Seek the giver not the gift.

A good #investment is one that lasts a long time, so a great investment must be one that lasts #forever.  We are talking today about the #love of #God.  He loves us so much He sent His only Son to be a sacrifice to allow us eternal life if we repent of our sins and give Him control of our life.  If love is a gift that is eternal, does that mean that some gifts are not?  What are some of the childish things we should put away?  What does Paul mean when he says that now we see through a glass dimly?  Do any graces besides love last forever?  Is any of these graces greater than love?  How do we achieve this kind of love for God and others?

Forgive me for missing last week, we were under a #Covid #quarantine.  The world speaks of #love as a feeling, but the #Bible says that love is also an activity.  If love is just a feeling then we are not responsible for it.  But if it is an activity, we are required to make an effort.  Can we undertake this activity exclusively under our own power?  What does love prevent us from doing?  Maybe you have heard the more often quoted part of this passage that tells us what love does.  Once you have confessed your sins and given your life to Jesus, ask Him to help you work on these activities of love.
