Law – #order – #justice – #liberty – Sound like a TV series? The news gives more time and coverage to law breakers then those giving their lives upholding the law. As I have observed people from the 40’s until today, I see a totally self obsessed society! (selfies -snapchat -get the picture?) Listen to your recordings, most songs start with “I”. Indulgence of drugs and sex are seen as a pastime for the “meet all my needs” person who cannot see beyond his own nose. Self centered individuals think they are above or can get around all laws. Just get a lawyer! Where do YOU go to find the right opinion on law? Liars prefer to just make it up as it comes up? In God’s Word, the Bible, we find in Matthew 22:35-40 a lawyer asking Jesus Christ a question before the Pharisees and scribes “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the LAW? Jesus said to him, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD THY GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND. This is the first and foremost commandment. The second is like unto it, YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF. On these two commandments depend all the LAW and the Prophets.” (Might want to read last weeks’ blog, my six year old neighbor taught me the meaning of this scripture)

The LIVING GOD #LOVINGKINDNESS
LOVINGKINDNESS comes in various #times, #places, #packages, and #people. Can you remember #receiving or #giving lovingkindness? I shall never forget MB, my first grade next door neighbor playmate. Well let’s start at the beginning …My grandmother brought me a beautiful golden tabby kitten for my birthday and I loved my “pitysang” ( I had no front teeth and couldn’t pronounce “pretty thing”) I would dress her in my babydoll’s dress, cap, booties, and lay her on her back so I could cover her with a blankie in my doll stroller carriage. Then I was ready to go knock of MB’s door to come out and strole with us on the sidewalk. Afterwards we would park the stroller, free pitysang from doll clothes, and all three would climb the umbrella tree in the front yard where we each had our favorite limb. So fun! Then one day I came home from school ready to do my piano practice where Pitysang would sit on the piano bench next to me. No Pitysang! Mother said she was outside so I got MB to help me – call and search. We found her lying by the back fence in a very weak state! I picked her up, carried her inside for Mother to fix her (poisoned)- Instead as I carried her in the bathroom, she died in my arms. I was sobbing, well- whaling really. MB had gone home (do you blame him he was six) I heard a knock on the backdoor and Mother came in to me and said MB wanted to see me. There he was with tears on his cheeks holding out his hand to me and said, “I’ll give you this nickel if you’ll stop crying!” Mother gave us a shoebox and together we buried Pitysang in the back yard next to the blooming sweet peas. That was LOVINGKINDNESS which time does not erase from my mind! After learning to read the Bible, I realized that the greatest LOVINGKINDNESS is recorded in GOD’S WORD. Ps.69:16 “LORD, thy LOVINGKINDNESS IS GOOD: turn unto me according to the multitude of they tender mercies.” Ps.118:1 “Give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good; for His LOVINGKINDNESS IS EVERLASTING.“
The LIVING GOD #DELIGHTS
With #Valentines coming in just a few days, we all think on things that delight us. What is your delight? As a child in school you probably wanted to get many valentine cards from your friends showing their love for you. Then with maturity you wanted a special someone to bring chocolates in a red heart box; or maybe you wanted roses; or maybe a ring; or maybe all of those. When someone cares for another, he or she delights in giving and receiving spoken heart felt appreciation. Do you think God Delights in You? What does the Bible record in Ps.18 “Lord delivered me from my strong enemy and from those who hated me….He rescued me, because HE DELIGHTED IN ME. The LORD HAS REWARDED ME according to my righteousness…for I have kept the ways of the LORD.” Ps.1 “Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked….but HIS DELIGHT is in the law of the LORD.” Eccles.5:4 “When you make a vow to GOD, do not be late with paying it for HE TAKES NO DELIGHT IN FOOLS” There are so many “modern day” theories on love and the delights of the day; however, our God is everlasting and His law and word were given to us for our good. How can we delight our heavenly Father? Micah 7:18 “GOD DELIGHTS IN UNCHANGING LOVE.”

#Joke for today, “Truth in #Advertising” Does truth mean the same thing to everyone? One person tells it like he sees it, but another sees something completely different. Judges 17:6″In those days…every man did what was right in his own eyes” Romans 1:24,25 “God gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own heart to dishonor their own bodies between themselves: who changed the TRUTH OF GOD into a lie and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator who is blessed forever.” Sound like today? I have known some individuals who could tell me a bold face to face lie all the while trying to convince themselves that what they were saying was true. Truth to some is their choice from the flavor of the day. Is there a standard for Truth? I believe there is and that it is found in the LIVING WORD OF GOD. John 1:14 “the WORD became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and TRUTH” John 14:6 “JESUS said to him,’I am the WAY, and the TRUTH, and the LIFE; no one comes to the Father, but through ME” John 8:32 “YOU SHALL KNOW the TRUTH, and the TRUTH SHALL MAKE YOU FREE.” Thessalonians 2:13 “..we thank God without ceasing, because, when you received the word of God…you received it not as the word of men, but it is in TRUTH, the WORD OF GOD, which effectually works in you that believe” Rev. 3:14 My family decided on the title of FIND BIBLE TRUTH for this website to tell of GOD’s TRUTH through HIS WORD around the world to all that will choose HIS WAY, HIS TRUTH, AND HIS LIFE. That’s no joke!
The LIVING GOD #PRESENCE
If you had a #choice, with whom would you choose to spend #time? Maybe a great #musician, #mathematician, #politician, #scholar, #king, #queen, #artist, #mother, #father, #child would be your choice; however, today I am afraid many would choose fiction in the form of books, videos, TV, or internet. As I observe our culture, I find that many individuals do not enjoy one another or appreciate the wisdom that interaction affords. With this withdrawal has come a denial of God’s desire for our companionship. You see when you truly love someone you want to be in their presence! Revelation 2:2-4 tells us, “I know your works, and labor, and patience, and how you cannot tolerate them which are evil: and you have tried those which say they are apostles, and are not, and found them liars: and have borne and have patience for my name’s sake you have labored without fainting. Nevertheless I have somewhat against you, because you have left your first love. Rev.1:17 “Lord said, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am He that lives and was dead; and behold, I am alive forevermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.” How long has it been since you spoke to GOD? Rev.2:7 “He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches; To him that overcomes will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the PRESENCE OF GOD.”
The LIVING GOD #HATES
#Numbers are on the minds of #lottery #ticket holders today. Every evening before the six o’clock news those numbers start rolling holding the hopes of millions that they will win millions. The Bible tells us about God’s order and mentions numbers throughout His Word to us. One scripture is very concise – Prov. 6:16″There are six “6” things which the LORD HATES, yes, seven “7” which are an abomination to Him: “1” Haughty Eyes, “2” a Lying Tongue, “3” Hands that shed innocent blood. “4”A Heart that devises wicked plans “5” Feet that run rapidly to evil “6”a False Witness who utters lies “7”One who spreads strife among brothers. God knows Us – Jesus said in Matthew 10:30 “the very hairs of your head are all numbered” What an omnipotent reigning living Lord who knows how to give justice and has covered our hateful sins with His own son’s crucification in our place.

The LIVING GOD #REST
“#Hurry, hurry, hurry!” seems to be the theme for our life today. The holidays were filled with work and worry to get just the right gifts, decorations, and food to make things joyful. Was it? Or are you worn out before you even start on 2016? Have you checked the weather report before dressing? Did you answer that text? What’s the latest news on the internet? How’s everyone on Facebook? You’re still on your first cup of coffee while stopping to pump gas before work? Add to the to do list – make time for a tune-up! Have to stop and get groceries after work and so the work goes on….meals, laundry, cleaning, yard, and bills – bills and more bills. How’s that saving’s – investment plan working? I see a society that is stressed yet constantly looking for escape to a more serene life. The Lord gave us an example in Genesis 2 “On the seventh day GOD ended His work which He had made; and HE RESTED from all HIS WORK ..which GOD created and made.” I have watched America change from observing Sunday as a day of rest and worship to a nation that never says CLOSED. Everyone wants to win the jackpot from the lottery, but I want the sure thing that Jesus Christ spoke, “COME UNTO ME ALL YOU THAT LABOR AND ARE HEAVY LADEN, AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST. TAKE MY YOKE UPON YOU, AND LEARN OF ME; FOR I AM MEEK AND LOWLY IN HEART; AND YOU SHALL FIND REST UNTO YOUR SOULS” Matthew 11:28,29

#Tornado #Alarms were blaring this week across U.S. Did you have to#run and hide in your #closet /basement/ safe room? I know I did and thankfully the tornado did not touch down here! The storm devastation cost many others everything. Thankfully many lives were spared because they heeded the warnings and got to their safe haven. The prayer of David in Ps.27 is close to my heart, “One thing have I desired of the LORD, and seek, that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and inquire in His temple. For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion: in the secret of His tabernacle shall HE HIDE ME; He shall set me up upon a rock.” Ps.32:5-7″I acknowledged my sin unto the LORD, and my iniquity have I not hid. …God forgave my sin. For this shall everyone that is godly pray unto Lord in a time when thou may be found surely in the floods of great waters they shall not reach him. THOU ARE MY HIDING PLACE; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance.” Ps. 31:19-21 “Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou has laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men! THOU SHALL HIDE THEM IN THE SECRET OF THY PRESENCE from the pride of man: thou shall keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues. Blessed be the LORD; for He has shewed me His marvelous kindness in a fortified city.”
